Adfood group, created in 2010 to take advantage of the synergies of the brands that meet up: Roser (hygiene and maintenance equipment), Ogalsa (Injection Line), Cato (sausage line) and RMT (Engineering and technological advice in facilities, processes and production lines), has initiated the construction of "Adfood Innovation Center", a space dedicated to research and to develop practical applications of new technologies for the meat industry.

"Adfood Innovation Center" will be located in one of the Group's factories in Cassà de la Selva, at 15 minutes from Girona Airport. The first stage of the project will cover an area of approximately 400m2 of facilities equipped with all the machinery and equipment and will be approached to the processes of cooked and cured sausages, meat injection and marinated, and production of ham and bacon.

In the private sector, this project will be unique nationally and one of the few worldwide that offer a space of I + D + multi-technological, and will have an eminently practical direction based on the changing market and the reality of the producer, with the purpose of working in interdisciplinary equipment that bring together knowledge and experience of machinery manufacturers, food processing experts and users of the mentioned technology.

The inauguration is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012 and will be at the service of the international network of customers and dealers for carrying out tests, technology demonstrations and training seminars.

With the fulfilment of this project, Adfood group expects to promote the development of products that provide value to the end consumer, differentiation to the manufacturer and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes.

Adfood Group is one of the few manufacturers in the world that produces all the machinery lines in the meat process and this centre will allow improvement of the information transfer and know-how between their different technologies.
